I've been doing this all wrong...

Sunday's Weigh-In: 249.2 lbs
 Goal Weight: 185.0 lbs
Pounds to Lose: 64.2 lbs

I've been doing this all wrong. For the past two weeks, my net calories (food intake minus exercise), has been around 600 calories. That's been sending my body into starvation mode. So last night when I felt hungry, the first time in a long time, I eat an additional 1100 calories. I don't feel bad that I eat that much, however, I do hate that I did it after 10 pm since I try not to eat past 7 pm. According to the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, a man's net calories should not fall below 1800 and a woman 1200. So I have two options, eat an additional 1200 calories a day or decrease my walking to 3 miles. While I would love to eat more, I think I'm going to go with option B.

I didn't really think there was a such thing as too much exercise but there is. I was exhibiting the signs and didn't know it.

So after reviewing the week I lost the most weight, I decided to go back to that except instead of walking 5 miles, I'll walk 3. So I get my extra cup of rice back and my legs get a rest. Yah!
