I wish you could have seen the smile I had on my face when I weighed myself this morning. I lost 4 lbs this week, how awesome is that! :-) I'm even more excited to see 40.6 pounds lost. I've lost 14.4% of my original weight. Yah! I'm over a third of way to my goal. I changed my over all goal date from my birthday (December 21, 2013) to June 8, 2013, one year from my original start date. When I hit my half way mark, 228.4, I will take a new picture.
I setup a chart. my goal is to lose 1% per week. You will notice that my end weight is less than 175. That's to allow room for the "bounce back." Normally, people gain back a few pounds when they start eat more calories to maintain their new weight. So it's suggested to lose a few pounds pass your goal. According to my chart, I should reach my goal June 8, 2014.
I used to get mad if I only lost 1 pound until I saw this:

So next time you and I feel discouraged about one pound, we should remember this pic and think "Are you still upset you only lost one pound?"
I decided not to keep the new scale. I weighed myself this morning on both scales:
New Scale: 243.4 lbs
Old Scale: 241.2 lbs
I could deal with a small difference, .2 or .4, but 2.2, I cannot. So if my scale is wrong, I'll just stay wrong until I reached my goal. Lesson here is if you start on one scale finish on the same scale.

Last week, my BMI was 32.3 kg/m2, this week it's 31.8 kg/m2; I'm getting there slowly but surely. I'm 14.2 lbs away from the overweight zone. 227 lbs here I come!
